 Darin Grant joins Method as Chief Technology Officer
Method Studios, a Deluxe Entertainment Services Group company, announced today that Christian Kubsch has joined the company as President. Kubsch will oversee Method’s global operations including the company’s main base in Los Angeles along with locations in London, Vancouver, Sydney, Melbourne, New York, Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta. Kubsch will report to Stefan Sonnenfeld, President of Creative Services, Deluxe. Darin Grant has been named Chief Technology Officer of Method Studios, and will report to Kubsch.

VIEW conference director Maria Elena Gutierrez has announced that senior visual effects supervisor Dan Glass of Method Studios will give a world premiere presentation on the feature film “Cloud Atlas”. Directed by Lana and Andy Wachowski and Tom Tykwer, the Warner Bros. release received a 10-minute standing ovation at its Toronto Film Festival premiere. “Cloud Atlas” is scheduled for wide release beginning in late October.

Method Studios, a Deluxe Entertainment Services Group company, was excited to join forces on the larger-than-life 3D visual effects in Warner Bros.’ “Wrath of the Titans” - the second installment in the franchise. The main sequence for Method Studios in LA involved creating the awakening of the monstrous Kronos, father of Zeus. This fully CG rock giant is brought to life with glowing lava and causes the cataclysmic destruction of the Underworld. During pre-production, Method Studios in London created concept images for the production’s art department, as well as the visual effects in the establishment of the Underworld sequence. Olivier Dumont rose to the occasion as Method’s VFX Supervisor along with Aurelia Abate, Method’s VFX Producer.
