Shake 'n' Final Cut Studio will take place along Boston's waterfront in the Citiview Ballroom at the World Trade Center Boston, which is walking distance from the Boston Convention Center, where SIGGRAPH 2006 takes place. Frame Rate Conversion with Twixtor Often times you need to make your edit in Premiere, Final Cut Pro or Avid and then import in After Effects to finish it or simply to do the final render, using tools such as Automatic Duck to import the project. This Tutorial demonstrates how to quickly setup large edits to do frame rate conversion with Twixtor in After Effects. In particular, we use footage from the Canon 5D Mark II that can only shoot 30 FPS and convert our edit for a 24P delivery, but this method can be applied to any frame rate conversion. EDL, a tutorial from Dennis Kutchera There are more modern ways of exchanging edit information such as OMF and AAF, but not everyone is going to have this. Media 100 now has OMF export as an extra option in version 8 and Final Cut Pro is supported through an OMF export plug in from Automatic Duck. But the old EDL text file is still with us.
