 When Miller-Bell Media Productions, LLC (formally GIG 2 Me Music & Video) was established in 1998, co-owner Gary Bell purchased two JVC GY-DV500 professional DV camcorders, which were eventually replaced by a JVC GY-DV5000. In February, when the company decided to make the transition to HD production and adopt a tapeless workflow, Bell chose to stick with JVC and purchased a GY-HM710 ProHD camera.

| | | | Montgomery County Media Upgrades to HD Field Production with JVC Camcorders
Montgomery Community Media (MCM), a nonprofit organization responsible for two PEG (Public, Education, and Government) channels serving Montgomery County, Md., has replaced its pool of DV-based EFP camcorders with five GY-HM700U and five GY-HM700UXT ProHD camcorders from JVC Professional Products Company. Three of the GY-HM700UXTs are tasked specifically for professional productions, while the other seven camcorders are used by volunteers who produce a variety of community-based programs.
