Quantel introduced a range of products that empower UltraHD/4K and even 8K production. Partnerships with AJA (for its Corvid Ultra video card) and NVIDIA (for its Tesla accelerator) have made Pablo Rio capable of high resolution work, including 4K at 60 fps. The company also enabled broadcast and post production workflows with enhancements with QTube, Enterprise sQ and Quantel revolutionQ. Quantel is also now involved in furthering FIMS (Framework for Interoperable Media Services), an initiative jointly managed by the EBU and AMWA to define standards for Service Oriented Architecture systems. This means that users can now send compute work to the NVIDIA Tesla accelerator, reserving the Quadro K5000 GPU for content creation.
