Attendees at the NAB2005 exhibition voted April 18 and 19 for the technological innovations that best addressed current and upcoming issues in the electronic media industry by boosting efficiency, increasing user flexibility and creativity, and lowering cost.

The top five products within each of the Content Creation, Content Management, and Content Delivery categories received recognition during NAB's Technology Luncheon, held on Wednesday, April 20.

Within the Content Creation category, Apple's Final Cut Pro 5, Avid's Media Composer Adrenaline HD 2.1, Avid's Symphony Nitris, the JVC GY-HD100U 3-CCD HD Camera Recorder, and the Sony HDCAM SR/HDCAM Dual Format Recorder received the highest number of attendee votes and were each awarded a 2005 NAB AIM.

Winners in the Content Management category were Apple's QuickTime Broadcaster, Global Microwave Systems' High Definition Messenger Transmitter (HDMT), NewTek's TriCaster, Omneon's Spectrum(TM) Media Server, and the Smart AV Smart Console.

Also receiving AIMs, within the Content Delivery category, were Avid's DNxchange(TM), Leitch's X75 HD Up/Down/Cross Converter and Synchronizer, Leitch's NEXIO(TM) HD,
Sony's Anycast Station Live Content Producer and the Sundance Digital NewsLink(TM).

"NAB attendees are specially positioned to recognize the hottest products emerging into the marketplace. The NAB would like to extend its congratulations to all of the 2005 AIM winners who received this esteemed recognition," said NAB President and CEO Edward O. Fritts.

A judging panel of editors from key industry publications will review the AIM-winning technologies and other new products exhibited at the show to select an additional winner within each product category. The 2005 "Editors' Choice" award winners will be announced on Thursday, April 28.
