(4th May 2005) UK short-film makers are to be given the chance to showcase their work to a potential audience of 10,000 people at the Broadcast Production Show in June (Earls Court 2, 1st-3rd June).
Selected films will be screened on a giant screen on the Broadcast Freelancer stand throughout the exhibition, giving valuable exposure to new and experienced filmmakers. The shorts, which must be no more than 5 minutes in length, can be based on any subject but stories about 'working in the media' are particularly encouraged. Films will be screened between workshop sessions. The deadline for submissions is Friday 20th May. For more details and an entry form please email customerservice@broadcastfreelancer.com
The rules:
. The film can't last longer than 5 minutes.
. The contents have to be clean enough to show during the daytime.
. You can enter as many shorts as you like.
. Entries must be submitted on VHS tape or DVD.
. Films can have been broadcast/screened previously or be straight out of the edit.
. Films must be received at the very latest by midday on Friday 20th May 2005.
