Chicago's Final Cut Pro User Group (Apple's premier video editing software) will hold its monthly meeting at 6:15 PM on Wednesday, July 27, at the Adler Planetarium Auditorium. Headlining the July event is SmartSound's Stephanie Joyce and Combustion Training Specialist Kenneth La Rue.
Joyce will do a demonstration on how to create great sounding soundtracks with SmartSound's patented software. Award winning Sonic Fire Pro is the only software program that lets you create professional quality, customized, royalty- free music soundtracks for your videos automatically! The patented software also lets you bring in outside music (such as Soundtrack of Apple's software GarageBand) and makes it fit the length of video projects quickly, easily and automatically. Smart-Sound can generate royalty free music AND import music created by the user.
La Rue promises to dazzle the audience with his exciting introduction to Combustion 4, an all-in-one professional compositing application from Auto-desk Media and Entertainment. LaRue is a CHIFCPUG favorite, whose witty style and humor make this a must-see event.
In addition, Chifcpug members have been invited to premier some of the work by showing a three minute reel of their recent project. This is followed by Chifcpug's world famous raffle where members and non-members have the opportunity to win prizes valued at hundreds of dollars. All of this for a $5.00 donation at the door for non-members. Membership to the group is $50.00 per year. Membership entitles one to attend all meetings for free as well as receiving one free raffle ticket at each event.
The Chicago Final Cut Pro Users Group is dedicated to the education, professional growth and development of its members through the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experience. The groups focus is not limited solely to the Final Cut Pro software; rather it encompasses a variety of video editing, compositing and authoring software/hardware utilized in the professional video, broadcast, event and pro-sumer markets. CHIFCPUG is a resource for all levels of technical expertise in the field of computer-based video editing as well as providing a conduit to those seeking to enhance their skills in addition to offering greater networking opportunities for those in the field of post-production.
