(MONTREAL -- July 22nd, 2006) Tiger Technology GmbH, developer of high performance, affordable storage area networking SAN management software solutions, today announced MetaLAN Server; a multi-point gateway server technology that is part of a new generation of clustering software providing the scalability and reliability required to simplify and unify data centers. Combined with the MetaLAN client software, MetaLAN Server virtualizes the shared storage and eliminates hotspots and I/O bottlenecks by transparently aggregating the total bandwidth of multiple LAN servers feeding off a common SAN backbone, Fibre Channel or iSCSI.
MetaLAN Server turns off-the-shelf, industry standard Windows or Mac workstations, storage, and networking components into a high-performance, scalable, and manageable NAS-like cluster.

Pricing and Availability
MetaLAN Server licenses are priced at $595.00 USD and support Windows and Mac OS X platforms. MetaLAN client licenses are priced at $295.00 USD and support Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux platforms. One license is required for each computer connecting to the shared storage.
