(Nasdaq:DTSI) announces that Neyrinck Audio has added DTS encoding and decoding capability to their SoundCode plug-ins for Pro Tools™, ranging from standard DTS Digital Surround 5.1-channel to DTS-ES 6.1-channel and DTS 96/24 encoding. These products are scheduled to be available beginning October 2006.
Neyrinck is releasing their SoundCode for DTS plug-in for Pro Tools that integrates DTS encoding and decoding technologies into the industry-leading digital audio workstation Pro Tools by Digidesign. The plug-in will encode DTS Digital Surround 5.1-channel, DTS 96/24 and DTS-ES 6.1-channel bit streams, and can decode and play back all of these DTS bit streams in sync with the Pro Tools timeline. Neyrinck is also releasing the SoundCode DTS-HD decoder plug-in for Pro Tools that, in addition to decoding the DTS formats mentioned above, can be used to decode and synchronize the playback of the new DTS-HD audio formats for HD-DVD and Blu-ray Disc. The DTS-HD decoder plug-in can also sync this high definition audio to high resolution video images from an external video deck via Sony’s P-2 9-pin machine control protocol. Providing an efficient method to verify lip-sync and audio encoding quality prior to authoring, Neyrinck’s DTS-HD decoder plug-in locks to a Quick Time video track within the Pro Tools environment. The Neyrinck SoundCode for DTS plug-in suite will retail for $995.
