(Cambridge, UK. 8 January 2007) Antics Technologies today announced the launch of a new Education Program, which offers both educators and students within universities and colleges affordable access to Antics, its real time, animated, pre-viz software application. Griffith Film School in Queensland, Australia’s largest film school, has become the first educational institution to take advantage of the new program by installing twenty Antics network licenses.
The Antics Education Program has been developed in response to an increasing demand from the education sector - attracted by the quick to learn and easy to use Antics feature set - which allows students to develop stories and scenarios on their desktops. This makes Antics an ideal tool for use within media arts courses such as TV & Film Production and 3D Animation.
Craig Caldwell, Head of Griffith Film School says, "This software has the potential to make a significant difference to our students’ outcomes. Their work should be tighter because they will spend more time experimenting and working out different scenarios. This will, in turn, save time during filming where experimentation generally consumes time that could be used for sound, lighting, and post production."

The Antics Education Program offers:- Colleges and Universities: Network based Antics licenses for $50/€45/£30 annual maintenance fee per license, subject to a minimum $1,000/€900/£600 annual charge
- Educators: An Antics license for use on laptop or desktop PC for an annual maintenance fee of $75/€50/£40
- Students: An Antics license for use on laptop or desktop PC for an annual subscription of $75/€50/£40. Students may also offset 100% of subscriptions paid against the purchase price of a commercial Antics License. All software is full release specification, licensed for educational, non-commercial use only, and is maintained at latest release version for the duration of maintenance and subscription agreements.
