March 7, 2007) Mammoth HD is gearing up to build the ultimate digital high definition library with the Spring '07 launch of the MHD/RED 4K Gallery/Library. With the pending delivery of the new RedOne Digital Cinema Camera from RED, MHD's talentbase, led by Emmy winning Steve Gibby, will be supplying new stock footage at 4K resolutions.
The Red 4K system allows the acquisition of footage at 4.5K, and with the REDCINE software, can be conformed to any digital video delivery resolution. Mammoth HD plans on having the New RED footage being submitted by their talent base shot at 4K which will allow delivery in 4K, 2K, HD, 1080p, 1080i and 720p
"We are delighted that so many of the artists we represent have embraced this new format." said Mammoth HD founder, Clark Dunbar. "Several of our cinematographers are in line for the first deliveries and more are planning to order REDs in the coming months. This will enable us to build a very significant 4K library very quickly."
Mammoth HD represents over fifty artists around the globe.
Currently slated to start shooting material for the MHD/RED 4K Gallery are Steve Gibby, Art Levy, Ian Sun and Steve Tammi. Each brings his unique background, style, specialities and locales to the library.
Dunbar says the first 4K footage will be posted in early May (as RED fulfills it's delivery schedule) and will feature the work of Steve Gibby with REDOne camera #8. Others will follow as the RED cameras are delivered and production ramps up.
Mammoth HD is also expanding internal systems to allow for the fastest possible throughput and online posting of the new higher definition footage as soon as it arrives.
With the Addition of the MHD/RED 4K Gallery - Mammoth HD will have footage being produced from around the world in 4K to join the MHD Libraries of HD produced footage covering everything from Cities, Scenics, Sports, Wildlife and TimeLapse in both Royalty-Free and Right-Managed Galleries.
The Mammoth HD Royalty-Free Collections now number 435 titles with subjects ranging from Cities, Scenics and Sports to Ocean Life and coming soon Medical/Healthcare.
Mammoth HD's Royalty Free Collections, Single-Clip and Rights-Managed Libraries feature online review with thumbnails, clip information and Quicktime previews of every Clip.
