News : BBC Motion Gallery Forms Strategic Alliance With Peachpit


Stock footage provider and educational publisher team up to leverage marketing, content and publishing

(Burbank, CA - May 24, 2007) BBC Motion Gallery (BBCMG), the footage licensing arm of BBC Worldwide, is aligning with educational publisher Peachpit to deliver added value to customers of both organizations.

The two companies have formalized their relationship to give Peachpit customers and authors special pricing on BBC Motion Gallery content and BBCMG users discounted rates on Peachpit's vast resource of training materials covering creative production and post.

Peachpit will introduce video training tools featuring BBC Motion Gallery content, leveraging the 600,000+ hours of footage ranging from wildlife to natural history, to travel, news, performance and more. Peachpit's educational products cover tools that are essential to any production toolkit including: Apple's Final Cut Pro in HD, Shake, DVD Studio Pro and Motion; Avid Video Editing Solutions and Adobe's Premier Pro. Select Peachpit video training tutorials will also be made available online, to BBCMG customers. Footage from BBCMG appears prominently in the current edition of EditWell, the e-newsletter for Peachpit customers. The issue also features a supplement entitled "The Power Users' Guide to Licensing Stock Footage" which highlights many of the BBCMG's unique and easy-to-use search capabilities.
