News : Jaume Rey to Address CONTD Conference at University of Valencia

(WIESBADEN, Germany--May 23, 2008) Panasonic PBITS today announced that its European Head of Business Unit, Professional & Broadcast Systems, Jaume Rey will be a keynote presenter at the Universitat de València CONTD Conference, a two-day event being held 26-27 May 2008 in València, Spain.

Mr. Rey will be presenting to industry leaders, professionals, and students on the topic of "HD Content in Europe" during a speech on Monday, 26 May 2008 at 18:00. The speech will include a Panasonic case study of a recent European HD project.

With the help of Panasonic's HPX500 P2 HD digital camcorder, Mr. Rey's speech, which is being delivered in Spanish, will be broadcast live on the official conference website at http://www.uv.es/contd.

The CONTD Conference brings together members of the audio-visual industry to discuss emerging digital technologies in today's television programming and the ever-expanding world of audio-visual communications. Presentations will be given by European broadcast industry professionals and will look at several topics including challenges in creating and delivering content for a changing audience; new forms of television; digital convergence; and filmmaking for digital television.
