News : Cine-tal Systems Taps Ray Agnew to Lead Sales Effort

Last Updated: August 27, 2008 4:06 pm GMT
(Indianapolis, Indiana--August 27, 2008) Cine-tal Systems, a leading manufacturer of image processing, display, color management and collaboration solutions for digital cinema and video production, has hired Ray Agnew as Director of North American Sales.

Agnew will seek to expand and direct the company’s domestic sales network, set sales goals and establish a strong marketing campaign. He brings more than a dozen years of experience in senior sales posts with technology companies, and most recently served as Director of Sales for Denver-based Octagon Systems Corporation, a maker of embedded computer systems.

“Ray Agnew has a strong track record in building successful reseller networks focused on partnerships with the customer,” said Cine-tal President and CEO Rob Carroll. “He also has valuable experience in evangelizing new technology. We look to benefit from his expertise as we continue to grow and penetrate new markets.”

Interest in Cine-tal Systems’ display and image processing systems has been rising rapidly as film and television production makes the transition from workflows based on film and videotape to one based on data. Cine-tal’s award winning Cinemage display continues to be the industry favorite for replacing reference-grade CRT monitors, while the company’s recent introduction of its DAVIO display processor and acquisition of cineSpace from RSR are fueling company growth.

“This is a very exciting time for this industry, and Cine-tal Systems is an exciting company,” Agnew said. “This company has a clear lead in terms of delivering products that meet the reliability and quality standards demanded by motion picture and video professionals. It is ideally positioned to post strong sales growth in the months and years ahead.”

Agnew held his post with Octagon Systems for the past two years. Previously, he served as Director of Business Development at Indesign, an Indianapolis provider of electronic product design and development engineering solutions. His background also includes sales positions with Genuity and Cisco Systems. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
