News : Defense Media Agency Renews Training Program with Class on Demand


Air Force producers around the globe have access to training materials

(Hoffman Estates, Illinois--January 9, 2009) Class on Demand, a provider of professional educational products for creative markets, announced today that it has extended its training program agreement with the American Forces Radio and Television Service part of the Defense Media Agency.

Under the agreement, now in its third year, all DoD civilian & military personnel, which includes approximately 1000 broadcast producers from all four services, will have access to the company’s training titles for; Sony Vegas, Adobe Photoshop, Sorenson Squeeze, and Boris FX. Training content is made available via secure military networks to all broadcasters stateside and overseas.

“We enjoy a great relationship with the Defense Media Agency,” said Paul Holtz, founder and CEO of Class on Demand. “We are happy our products help the agency provide valuable programming and services to our armed forces serving overseas.”

The Defense Media Activity is charged with providing both radio and television programming to DoD military & civilian personnel assigned overseas. DMA operates 33 full-service radio & television stations located in 15 countries. The American Forces Radio and Television Service provide direct satellite service to 162 countries and manage service to the US Navy fleet at sea. Video productions range from nightly newscasts and feature programs to live local radio shows and news segments.
