(Wiesbaden, Germany--January 20, 2009) Panasonic PBITS Professional & Broadcast IT Systems is pleased to announce a new investment into the Panasonic P2 Series by one of the United Kingdom's leading rental companies.
Electra, one of the UK's leading camera hire companies, has invested in the following primary P2 products: AG-HPX3700, AG-HPX2700, AG-HPX3000, AG-HPX2100, AG-HPX500, and general P2 support equipment. It has also invested in P2 cards, with the view to supply owner operators and production with P2 card support for extended shoots.
The three company directors, Crispin Kyle, Doug Urquhart, and Steve Albins, boast a wealth of experience in the industry, all being crew or ex-crew. Their broad base of knowledge extends to all broadcast formats, which has helped them progress within the business to the successful place they are today.
"We have been carefully watching the technological changes affecting our industry for the past few years and we see the Panasonic solution as a safe and well tested replacement for taped production workflows," says Kyle.
