(NAB Las Vegas, Nevada--April 20, 2009) Blackmagic Design Inc. today announced that every product the company manufacturers for the high end post production and broadcast industry now includes 3 Gb/s SDI. Blackmagic Design’s entire range of 3 Gb/s SDI products will be on display at NAB 2009 at the Blackmagic Design booth SL10820.
Blackmagic Design has a range of editing capture cards, video converters and routers that all feature 3 Gb/s SDI (SMPTE425M Level-B) and have support for Sony’s new 3 Gb/s SDI products. Since that time Blackmagic Design has also introduced three new affordable routers, capture cards, and a wide range of Mini Converters all with 3 Gb/s SDI. Now all high end post production and broadcast products from Blackmagic Design include 3 Gb/s SDI as a standard feature at no extra cost to the customer.
“Blackmagic Design has thousands of customers who have purchased products from us that are 3 Gb/s SDI ready. I am incredibly excited by the announcement of new Sony “HDCAM-SR™” decks and monitoring products with 3 Gb/s SDI. I think our customers will be very happy that they can expand their studios with the latest video technology from both Sony and Blackmagic Design.” said Grant Petty, CEO, Blackmagic Design.
