(New York--May 14, 2009) Siggy Ferstl, an internationally recognized, award-winning Colorist, has joined Company 3 in Santa Monica, Calif., as Director of Telecine.

A native Australian, Ferstl moved to Los Angeles in 1994. Since arriving he has shown his diversified skills making his mark in the commercial, feature film and television markets. His feature credits include "House of Flying Daggers," "Live Free or Die Hard" and "Underworld Evolution," which won Siggy the Master Colorist of the Year award for the second year running.
Siggy's commercial credits include campaigns for Nike, Cadillac, Chevy, Coke, General Motors, Microsoft, Mercedes, and Wii. In the television market, he has colored title sequences and promos for many shows, including Nascar, NBA All-Stars, NHL, the Olympics, SNF, "The Contender" and "Survivor." He also earned an HPA Award for Outstanding Color Correction on ESPN's Arthur Ashe Awards - Afghan Women's Soccer.
For Siggy, moving to Company 3 allows him the opportunity to offer all of his clients a more flexible and creative workflow including nonlinear DI. He also enjoys being part of a growing, award-winning, talent-driven team and looks forward to continuing to work on diverse projects.

Prior to CO3, Siggy worked at CO3 sister facility, Method. Siggy also served as Director of Telecine and Film Services at Digital Pictures in Sydney and had similar roles in London and Asia. He helped da Vinci develop its nonlinear color corrector, "Resolve," and served as a guest colorist at IBC and NAB. He was also an early adopter of the commercial DI nonlinear workflow.
