Extend your HDMI signal up to 328ft over Coax with our New HDMI-EXT

Last Updated: June 19, 2009 4:08 pm GMT
(Suwanee, Georgia--June 19, 2009) FSI is excited to announce its new HDMI Extender series of signal distribution boxes. The HDMI-EXT allows you take any HDMI source and transmit it over coaxial cable. Best of all, the signal is entirely SDI compatible so it can be routed directly through your standard serial digital routing equipment.

Why bother with the cost and time of running new Cat5 or optical fiber for traditonal HDMI extenders? FSI's new HDMI Extenders allow you to utilize your existing coax cable and SDI routing equipment to route HDMI signals throughout your facility with ease.

If your HDMI source does not contain HDCP the HDMI-EXT transmitter box (HDMI-EXT.TX) converts your signal to a normal serial digital signal that can be fed directly into any SDI monitor or other SDI input equipped piece of equipment.

If your source does contain HDCP then the Transmitter box will convert your HDMI signal to an encrytped proprietary HD-SDI signal that can still be routed through your standard SDI routing equipment. This can then be sent to our HDMI-EXT receiver box (HDMI-EXT.RX) that will again produce an HDMI output with HDCP intact up to 328ft away!

The HDMI-EXT is a multi-rate box that can handle SD, HD, or 3Gbps bandwidth signals. This allows you to run even a 1920x1080p60 source over coax to either a 3Gbps monitor or to our HDMI-EXT receiver for end to end 1080p60 support.

Each HDMI-EXT box runs $495 and can be pre-ordered now from http://www.ShopFSI.com . Current shipping lead time is approximately 3 weeks. If you have any questions about the HDMI-EXT.TX or HDMI-EXT.RX please contact us at 678.835.4934 or via E-Mail: Sales@FlandersScientific.com.
