(Wayne, New Jersey--July 15, 2009) Camp Digital, a mobile production company based in Hendersonville, Tenn., used a variety of Fujinon lenses as part of its high definition production services provided for the most recent season of the Gospel Music Channel’s talent show series, "Gospel Dream", which debuted last month on the Gospel Music Channel.
The show, which resembles American Idol for the Christian music world, includes both behind-the-scenes elements and music performances in front of a live audience.
Produced by Tangible Vision for the Gospel Music Channel (GMC), the fourth season of Gospel Dream marked the first time the show was produced in HD. The six-part series will only air in standard definition, but was shot in HD to help increase GMC’s HD library for a future launch of an HD simulcast.
The musical performances were shot before a live audience at NorthStar Studios in Nashville, Tenn. Camp Digital used a complement of seven Fujinon HD lenses from the company’s primary HD production unit, a 36-foot truck known as Journey HD, which operates with up to eight Sony HDC-1500L cameras. For Gospel Dream, the Fujinon HD lens package included: a XA88x 8.8BESM telephoto HD lens, XA72x9.3BESM BESM telephoto HD lens, XA66X9.3BESM telephoto HD lens, HA20X7.8BERM telephoto lens, and three ZA12X4.5BERM wide angle lenses.
