News : Digital FX To Demo RED at SIGGRAPH

Last Updated: August 5, 2009 6:22 pm GMT
(Baton Rouge, Louisiana--August 5, 2009) Digital FX, a Baton Rouge based film and television post-production studio, will be demoing their RED camera technology and mobile 4K edit suite at 12:00 PM, August 6th, at the Louisiana Booth #2900 at this year’s SIGGRAPH conference held in New Orleans.

Greg Milneck, President and Founder of Digital FX, will demo their RED worklow technology with his team of designers and operators. They will demonstrate the entire process of capturing, editing and delivering RED footage using their one-of-a-kind mobile editing and effects studio.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to show off a little,” said Milneck. “This is some incredible technology, unlike anything on the market today.”

Milneck said their mobile system combined with RED technology provides his clients with the raw power and flexibility needed to offer directors and producers with unprecedented control of their project.

“This technology is a first in our industry,” said Milneck. “It’s a director’s dream. You never have to guess anymore about whether or not you got the shot. You can shoot it, view it and edit it on location almost immediately. That brings tremendous creative flexibility to any project. Plus, the 4K footage shot on the RED is unreal.”

DEMONSTRATION DETAILS:
  • Time: 12 PM – 1 PM
  • Date: Thursday, August 6th, 2009
  • Place: Booth #2900, SIGGRAPH, New Orleans Convention Center
