News : NOA to Participate in Audiovisual Heritage Preservation Conference Set for Mexico City

Last Updated: November 2, 2009 7:44 pm GMT
(Vienna, Austria--November 2, 2009) NOA Audio Solutions will join Fonoteca Nacional of Mexico City for a conference entitled "Safeguarding Our Sound and Audiovisual Heritage: A World Challenge." The event is slated to take place Monday, Nov. 9, through Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Fonoteca Nacional in Mexico City.

On hand will be renowned international experts in the field of audiovisual archiving and preservation, sharing their insights about the latest developments in the field. Among those participating will be authorities from the industry's leading associations, including the International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives, the International Federation of Television Archives, and the International Federation of Film Archives.

Presenters also include NOA managing partner Jean-Christophe Kummer, who will discuss how to organize workflows within a digital archive, using as examples the Sveriges Radio Förvaltnings (SRF) arhive, Fonoteca Nacional de Mexico, and Radiotelevizija Slovenija (RTV). All of these organizations rely on the NOA mediARC solution to surmount the challenges associated with cataloging and managing storage, and with the transfer and transcoding of media files.

The Fonoteca Nacional is located at Francisco Sosa 383, Barrio Santa Catarina, Mexico City, and the first presentation will begin promptly at 9 a.m., Monday, Nov. 9. More information regarding the event is available at
