(Amsterdam-IBC, The Netherlands--September 10, 2010) Harmonic Inc. (NASDAQ: HLIT) today announced NMX Digital Service Manager™ 6 (NMX 6), an enhanced network management solution that provides a powerful set of tools for monitoring and managing video processing and delivery systems.
The new capabilities available with NMX 6--including an enhanced GUI, streamlined workflow management, improved alarm management and a comprehensive dashboard view--simplify service management and facilitate troubleshooting and analysis.
Key features and benefits of NMX 6 include:
- Usability: An operator-friendly user interface offers intuitive navigation, an operator centric workflow, troubleshooting dashboard view, alarm correlation, Drag and Drop capabilities, and auto-connect network wizards for Harmonic's FLEX(TM) and ACE(TM) video processing technologies.
- Performance: Service creation, configuration and system performance, including failover and recovery time, are improved by 50 percent or more in initial testing. System load time and map import/activation are also accelerated by 20 percent.
- Scalability: The total number of streams supported per server is doubled, with notable gains in the total number of devices supported as well.
