(Los Angeles, California--October 19, 2012) Impact Entertainment, a creative and technical production partner to agencies, studios and production companies, has forged a compelling and original model that speaks to the intensive asset needs in today’s multi-platform engagements. The new Zicam Cold Monster campaign via agency GROK is emblematic of Impact’s unique place as a creative connector in the industry.



“Impact is versatile, talented and integrated perfectly into the overarching process,” says GROK Co-Founder/Chief Creative Officer Tod Seisser. “The amount of material they created would typically be produced by two or three companies, and they did it with ease.”

Impact was entrusted with the production of digital assets for the campaign’s high profile website and stills for print advertising featured throughout the cold season in such consumer magazines as People, Family Circle, and Better Homes & Gardens. Production company MJZ produced the broadcast commercial “Don’t Let The Cold Monster Catch You” directed by Rocky Morton which began airing October 8.

Impact’s partners EP Deb Llanos and Director/DP Patrick Yonally led the company’s multi-faceted shoot. Yonally directed a four-person team of Legacy Effects technicians and performers who controlled the Monster’s movement and expression. To ensure digital integration, Impact worked closely with Lino Ribolla from Primacy. Impact utilized the QTAKE HD system for real-time on-set keying and same-day alpha matte generation to streamline the postproduction workflow. Intensive coordination by Llanos and a fluid collaboration between all creative partners resulted in the delivery of over 100 live action sequences and 350 photos from the single day shoot.

"Consulting and executing on integrated productions definitely plays to our strengths,” says Patrick Yonally. "This project gave us the chance to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time, and we appreciated the trust and collaborative approach involved with the combined efforts of experts from all facets of advertising."
