Continuing to broaden its East Coast footprint, FuseFX has added two veteran visual effects supervisors to its New York team. Jeff Wozniak brings experience in both television and features—, the latter including blockbusters such as Star Trek, Transformers and The Avengers,— during an entertainment industry career dating to 1994. He is supervising visual effects production for two new series, Bull (CBS) and The Son (AMC), as well as the Amazon Studios feature The Wall. John Miller has worked in visual effects and post-production in the New York area for more than 20 years, serving in artistic, managerial and production roles. His recent credits include the main-on-end title sequence for Avengers: Age of Ultron and visual effects for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, as well as the documentary television series Battles BC. At FuseFX, he is serving as On-Set Supervisor and VFX Supervisor for the new Amazon crime drama Sneaky Pete. He is also contributing to the series ABC Notorious.

FuseFX, which has helped lead the resurgence of visual effects production in Los Angeles, has moved its headquarters to a 27,000 square foot facility on Califa Street in Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles. Comprising two contiguous free-standing structures, the new site can accommodate the company's current 150-person Southern California staff, and features scores of state-of-the-art visual effects workstations, four screening rooms, a 4K infrastructure, dedicated broadband connections to operations in New York and Vancouver, and room for further growth.

VFX Supervisor Ted Rae and team are applying their artistry to a jihadist war drama.
FuseFX is currently creating visual effects for season three of FX’s Middle East drama Tyrant. VFX Supervisor Ted Rae leads a veteran team of artists tasked with enhancing the show’s international settings and intensifying the combat scenes. Created by executive producers of Homeland, Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff, Tyrant tells the story of the son of the ruler of a fictional Middle Eastern country who returns home and gets caught up in a conflict with the Army of the Caliphate. The show has drawn critical praise and a growing legion of fans for its dramatic action, nuanced story and strong performances. “Tyrant’s success has been phenomenal,” says Co-Producer Sean Sforza. “We’ve enjoyed network support from FX who’ve given us the leeway to tell a different kind of story.”

Visual Effects Supervisor Mark Kolpack, VFX Producer Tracy Takahashi, Compositing Supervisor Kevin Lingenfelser, CG Supervisor Matthew Von Brock, CG Lead Artist Mitch Gates, Lead Compositor Kevin Yuille and VFX Coordinator Briana Aeby are nominated for Outstanding Visual Effects for the Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode “The Dirty Half Dozen.” They share the nomination with production Lead VFX Producer Sabrina M. Arnold and Special Effects Supervisor Gary D'Amico. This is the second straight year that the FuseFX team has received an Emmy nomination for Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. It has received a total of three VES Society Award nominations for its work on the show, including two this year.

FuseFX, which provides visual effects services for television, features and commercials, the former including Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and American Horror Story has opened full-scale production facilities in New York and Vancouver. FuseFX, New York, is currently producing visual effects for the hit NBC series The Blacklist as well as POWERS, a drama set to debut in January on the new Sony PlayStation network. Located in the heart of the city’s media district in Soho, the 3300 square foot production complex is designed to accommodate a staff of more than 30 artists. FuseFX, British Columbia, located in Vancouver’s Yaletown section, is currently servicing Backstrom for Fox and The Returned for A&E. It can accommodate 20 or more artists. Capabilities at both facilities include 2D and 3D visual effects, 3D animation, compositing, finishing, matte painting, cosmetic enhancement and pre-visualization.
