Blackmagic Design today announced that Los Angeles-based visual effects (VFX) house Trick Digital used its VFX and motion graphics software, Fusion Studio, on the film “The Last Movie Star.” Starring Burt Reynolds, “The Last Movie Star” follows an aging, former movie star as he faces the reality that his glory days are behind him. Also starring Ariel Winter, Chevy Chase, Clark Duke and more, “The Last Movie Star” is written and directed by Adam Rifkin and was recently released by A24.

Cooke Optics, the multi-award winning manufacturer of precision lenses for film and television, is pleased to reveal that Valkyrien, the forthcoming Norwegian drama series, was shot by Johan-Fredrik Bødtker, FNF, using Cooke Anamorphic/i and Cooke 5/i lenses. The lens metadata was collected from the ARRI ALEXA cameras and was highly beneficial to both on-set production and post-production workflows. Valkyrienwill launch on NRK in January 2017 and has been sold to broadcasters in Scandinavia. It will also premiere in the UK on Channel 4 in 2017 before all episodes are made available exclusively on C4’s on-demand foreign-language drama service, Walter Presents.
