(Hollywood, California--January 21, 2010) Creative talent from CSS Studios' Todd-AO and Sound One facilities are among the nominees for 46th Cinema Audio Society Awards.
- Todd-AO Re-Recording Mixers Ken Teaney, CAS and Todd Orr are nominated for Outstanding Mixing for a Television Series for the episode "Guy Walks into an Advertising Agency" of AMC's Mad Men. They share the nomination with Production Sound Mixer Peter Bentley.
- Sound One Re-Recording Mixer Dominick Tavella, CAS is nominated for Outstanding Mixing for Television-Nonfiction, Variety or Music-Series or Specials for "The Scripture of Nature," an episode from the PBS mini-series The National Parks: America's Best Idea. He shares the nomination with Sound Recordist Lou Verrico.
- Todd-AO's James Fitzpatrick, CAS is nominated for Outstanding Sound Mixing for DVD Original Programming for "Something, Something, Something Dark Side¸" a DVD release based on Fox's Family Guy. He shares the nomination with Production Sound Mixer Patrick S. Clark.
- Todd-AO Re-Recording Mixer Gary Summers is nominated for Outstanding Sound Mixing in a Motion Picture for Avatar. He shares the nomination with Production Sound Mixer Tony Johnson, CAS, and Re-Recording Mixers Chris Boyes and Andy Nelson.
Winners will be announced February 27.
