The East Coast Final Cut Pro User Groups Premieres at DV Expo East

Technology showcase will feature latest digital innovations and noted industry leaders

(New York, NY -- July 16, 2005) The East Coast Final Cut Pro User Groups, today announced that their first ever meeting will take place at the Digital Video Expo East exhibition. This July 19 event offers industry professionals the opportunity to see the latest innovations from the Apple Pro Applications. Attendees will have a chance to learn about the powerful new features Final Cut Pro HD, Motion, DVD Studio Pro, Soundtrack Pro, and Livetype.

"We’re providing attendees the opportunity to meet with other users – experts in production, lighting, audio and of course all the Apple applications you love,” said BOSFCPUG President Daniel Berube. ”The East Coast Final Cut Pro User Groups will have a show booth and an event with Apple users sharing their projects, stories and solutions.”

Meeting Date & Time
The first meeting of the ECFCPUG takes place Tuesday, July 19 from 11 am to 2 pm on the exhibition floor at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, NY. This event is open to all Digital Video Expo East exhibition attendees. A $5 cash donation lets you participate in the raffle. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $3. More than $10,000 in prizes were provided by sponsors including AJA, Blackmagic, Bonolabs, Boris FX, DMTS, Tapes.com, Disc Makers, and more.

“What a way to start the show, by joining friends from Atlanta, New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Washington, DC, and New Jersey,” said NYFCUG leader Michael Vitti. “The NYFCUG is thrilled to roll out the carpet to welcome all digital storytellers.”

Industry leaders like motion graphics and titling specialists Rob Birnholz (Absolute Motion Graphics), Paul Heriot (Sleepless Knights Media), Anne Renehan (editor and Boris FX), editors Geoffrey Richman (Murderball) and Sean Cullen (assistant to Walter Murch), and media producers Gerry Wenner (director) and Dennis & Jackie Peters (HeavyBag Media) will share their stories, solutions and creativity at this event.
