(NEW YORK, NEW YORK, August 31, 2005) FOR-A Corporation of America, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for the broadcast and professional video industries, will bring its latest products designed to bring new efficiencies to the government broadcasting, analysis and surveillance/CCTV markets to the Maritime Security Expo 2005.

Among its new and enhanced products for the show, FOR-A will demonstrate its IVS-300, a video stabilizer that corrects the shake, rattle and roll out of images shot in unstable conditions; and its IHC-600  high-resolution network camera that displays extremely small detail when used in critical surveillance/observation networks. The Expo will be held September 20th and 21st at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, where FOR-A will exhibit in Booth #962.

“FOR-A’s product line is being used increasingly by high-level security organizations, particularly now with our nation’s heightened security concerns,” said Hiro Tanoue, Sales Manager/ Eastern Region and Central/South America, FOR-A Corporation of America. “The Maritime Security Expo 2005 is very important show for us as we become more involved in this industry. The IVS-300 and IHC-600 are must-have products for the surveillance/CCTV market. They were designed for the television broadcast industry where quality has to be perfect 24 hours a day. The IVS-300 corrects two-dimensional movement down to the sub-pixel level, which is a performance first for a product at this price point. The IHC-600 provides the level of resolution needed to isolate and magnify portions of a picture captured in large areas for close inspection.”

Top-Notch Video Stabilization for Surveillance Cameras
The IVS-300 video stabilizer assures near-rock-solid images even when cameras are placed in outdoor locations with significant wind and traffic vibration. The system corrects shakes and judders from both recorded images and live surveillance in vertical, horizontal and oblique directions at a maximum movement of 20 percent from a still picture. Movements can plague camera surveillance from atop buildings and bridges and over railway lines, especially when telephoto or zoom lenses are used. The IVS-300 removes unwanted movement but preserves intentional pan/tilt camera movements.

The IVS-300 is well suited for security and broadcast applications, particularly weather cameras. It is also an easy-to-install stand-alone unit with a video I/O. It can be connected between camera and monitor, or for multiple cameras, between a source selector and monitors. The system is so advanced that correction is accurate to the sub-pixel level.

Key Features of the IVS-300:
  • Compatible with both B/W and color composite signals

  • PAL/NTSC auto select

  • Remote control possible via RS-232C or RS-422 connections

High-resolution Camera Provides Amazing Detail
The IHC-600 network camera is ideal for LAN surveillance/observation systems with its high-resolution imaging, internal digital recorder and network interface -- all packaged into its compact camera head. With the LAN port, users can deploy distance surveillance via Ethernet, allowing an unlimited amount of cameras to be connected, and up to four units to be displayed at a time and controlled on the computer’s monitor. The internal digital recorder is a 40 GB hard drive disk with JPEG compression that provides greater than ten hours of recording. The network interface allows monitoring by a PC or laptop. Features include a time/data search function and various recording modes.

The IHC-600 provides a 2880x2160-pixel picture, a resolution of six million effective pixels. Six million pixels ensure extremely clear images even after enlargements, so that specific portions of pictures, such as a person’s face or automobile license plate, can be zoomed in and identified for close inspection. The IHC-600 is applicable for homeland security and high-level surveillance of government facilities, as well as the surveillance of parking lots, shopping centers, banks, hotels, train stations, museums, and so on.
