(CYPRESS, CA) FOR-A Corporation of America, celebrating 35 years of experience in signal processing innovations, will introduce the newest FA Series Model, the FA-9000 HD/SD super signal processor at NAB2006 in Las Vegas from April 24-27 (Booth #C3210).
The FA-9000 frame synchronizing feature supports all formats, including HD, SD, analog, digital and audio. It uses 12-bit internal processing for high-quality images and features an extensive array of additional functions, including an up-converter, down-converter, color corrector, median-based noise reduction, logo generator and a Dolby-E decoder in a compact 1RU size.
The FA-9000 supports all video signal input and output formats for digital signals such as HD-SDI and SD-SDI and for analog component (HD and SD) and analog composite. This one device can support all video signals from signal type conversion to format conversion. It also provides digital analog input/output for audio signals in the same way as video signals. A Dolby-E decoder can be installed for accurate monitoring and signal correction for surround signals in a multi-channel environment.
“I am really thrilled to introduce the FA-9000, which is the culmination of FOR-A’s 35 years of signal processing experience. This is a very affordable HD-based super signal processor with functionality that goes way beyond a typical frame synchronizer and a converter,” said Hiro Tanoue, Sales Manager, Eastern Region and Central/South America, FOR-A. “It’s a very powerful, multipurpose signal processor with digital and analog audio support, up and down conversion, color correction, noise reduction and logo generation, and then some. It’s the only signal processor anyone will need.”
Key features of the FA-9000 super signal processor include:
- HD-SDI, SD-SDI, Analog Component, Analog Composite, and Digital and Analog Audio In/Outputs
- Superb frame synchronization
- Optional Up/Down Converter, Color Corrector, Dolby-E decoder, Logo Generator, IEEE1394 terminal to support DV and HDV interfaces
- Standard Recursive Noise Reduction and optional Median Noise Reduction
- Standard BNC Remote interface as well as RS-232/422/485 and GPI
- Standard SNMP monitoring
The FA-9000 will be available for delivery at the end of March this year.
