The Clio Awards celebrate the best in global advertising and design innovation. Entries to each of the competitions are judged around the world by panels of professionals in their respective industries and Animal Logic is proud to receive this prestigious award.

For the 'Big Ad' commercial, Animal Logic's crew collaborated closely with director Paul Middleditch from Plaza Films prior to, and during the shoot in New Zealand to plan the crowd shots as well as create the 3D congregations that would feature in the environments.

Animal Logic used 3D computer-generated human extras for all the large, aerial crowd shots, clothed them in flowing robes and then brought them into the specialized crowd simulation software, Massive. They were then replicated thousands of times over, with each character being assigned its own random movement and direction.

‘Big Ad’ first aired in July 2005 and has been recognized by several international awards.
