(Portland, Ore. – June 21, 2006) Cascade ACM SIGGRAPH, Oregon and Southwest Washington's local SIGGRAPH chapter, today announced that it is hosting, "Applications Night," scheduled to take place Thursday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the PCC Cascade Campus Auditorium, Moriarty Arts & Humanities Building, located at 705 N. Killingsworth (cross street Albina) in Portland, Ore.
With presentations from Portland-based companies Second Story and Mythod Productions, “Applications Night” offers insight on computer graphics, modeling applications and mixing sound and video with computer graphics. Highlights of the evening include presentations from Matt Arnold and Alphonse Swinehart from Second Story; Vance Feldman and Mark Evans from Mythod Productions; and results from the annual Cascade SIGGRAPH election.

. Free parking passes are available to those who R.S.V.P. and request a pass by June 26, 2006. The night will commence with a meet and greet in the lobby on the ground floor at 6 p.m., followed by the Cascade SIGGRAPH chapter election results. The presentations on the computer graphic and modeling applications will start at 6:30 p.m. followed by a questions and answer period with the presenters.
This and other Cascade ACM SIGGRAPH meetings are free to Cascade SIGGRAPH Chapter members. Nonmembers will need to pay a $5.00 admission fee at the door. Annual local memberships can be purchased at the door for $25.00 ($18.00 for students), with cash or check. Food will be available to attendees.
