(GUILDFORD, UK - June 5, 2007) Imagineer Systems, creators of next-generation VFX tools, announced today it is has expanded its commitment to driving new growth in US visual effects marketplace with the opening of two new offices in New York and Los Angeles.
With this announcement, the Company has tapped seasoned industry veterans Ross Shain and Billy Woody to expand Imagineer Systems presence and continue raising awareness in these key markets.

Managing Imagineer Systems’ efforts in the newly launched Los Angeles office, Billy Woody comes to Imagineer Systems after nearly 15 years in the visual effects field as both an artist and salesman. He has played key support roles for multiple studios in California, including a role as a support engineer for SGI hardware, Softimage 3D, Avid's Media Illusion and Apple's Shake software. As a freelancer, Billy has worked with some of the major productions companies in Los Angeles including Warner Bros., Rhythm & Hues and Disney. Billy's role with Imagineer Systems will be to manage the sales and marketing of all western and midwestern North America, including Alaska, Hawaii and Vancouver.
Driving efforts on the east coast, Imagineer Systems has tapped industry veteran Ross Shain to manage the Manhattan presence for the Company. Ross brings over 15 years experience in both the creative and technical side of film, video and television post production.
Prior to joining Imagineer, Ross was senior compositor/designer at Northern Lights Post, a boutique shop in New York City. As a compositor and creative director, Ross worked on many national campaigns for agencies such as: Kaplan Thaler, J. Walter Thompson and Ogilvy and on music videos for artists diverse as The Beastie Boys and Lyle Lovett.
Additionally, Ross was with Avid Technology as a senior product specialist for almost 8 years, specializing in the compositing and finishing systems: Matador, Media Illusion, Elastic Reality and Avid|DS. While at Avid, Ross consulted with customers and trained and demonstrated software to many post houses, broadcast networks and film studios with a focus on visual effects and broadcast design. Ross’ role with Imagineer Systems will be to manage North American sales and marketing on the east coast and central US, as well as Ontario and Quebec.

This announcement also comes on the heels of the Company’s formation of the ‘VFX Innovations Think-Tank,’ an influential advisory group of industry veterans and experts assembled to participate in, and contribute to, Imagineer Systems product strategy moving forward.
