(San Francisco, CA - September 11, 2007) VFX & postproduction company Spy Post has promoted Lori Joseph from Producer to Executive Producer. In her new role, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, as well as bidding and managing talent and projects.
"Lori has consistently provided leadership in her various roles with the company," says Eric Hanson, Spy Post Partner. "Several years ago we hired her as a freelance producer to manage one of our campaigns. She did an amazing job and it was clear we needed someone with her experience and integrity involved in the management of our company. She jumped right in as a full-time producer, and established more efficiency and cost accountability in our telecine/color correction business. Becoming our executive producer is a natural progression, which will leverage the skills she has always demonstrated."
"Lori has always been an asset to the company and it was inevitable that she would end up as an executive producer with Spy Post," adds Darren Orr, Spy Post Partner. "We're glad she felt strongly enough about our company to take this next step with us."
"I'm excited to be the first rock n' roll, tattooed executive producer here," laughs Joseph. "Spy Post knows how to draw upon its vast experience, creative vision, and technical capabilities to consistently deliver high-quality work for its clients. I've enjoyed working this tightly knit and passionate team of artists, and look forward to being a part of this company's continued growth."
Lori Joseph began her career at ILM and enjoyed a nine-year tenure working her way up from a production assistant to Post Production Supervisor on special effects TV commercials. After a stint as an Assistant Casting Director at Nancy Hayes Casting, she worked with @radical.media to freelance on Metallica's "Some Kind of Monster" documentary.
Before joining Spy Post, Joseph freelanced at notable companies including Red Car, Radium, The Orphanage, Phoenix Editorial, Palma VFX, Ntropic, Groove Eleven and Mekanism to name a few. Projects include graphics and editorial for the Sony booth at E3, cinematics for the EA games "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers," "The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age" and "Urbz," commercials for Gatorade, Dr. Scholl's, Frito Lays, Gordon's Gin, One Touch Ultra and GameTap, as well as music videos for Kanye West, Metallica, Jet and a DVD series for Carmen Electra.
