(Minneapolis, MN - September 26, 2007) Broadcast design & animation studio motion504 has expanded its team with the addition of Executive Producer Eric Mueller and Designer Faith Miller.
Mueller will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, budgets and scheduling, as well as client relations and company growth. Miller will work hand-in-hand with the studio's creative directors on its repertoire of broadcast design, television and commercial projects.
"The addition of Eric and Faith demonstrates our commitment to continually expand our talented team and creative growth as a company," says Andy Reynolds, Founder of motion504. "Eric has deep roots in this community. He's an incredible filmmaker and visual storyteller, and is eager to exploit his production background for the right live-action jobs. Faith is a fine artist and painter, and approaches her work with an unfettered imagination. She's not afraid of tackling the impossible."
Eric Mueller comes to motion504 with extensive experience in production and postproduction, and an intimate knowledge of the Midwest market. He was most recently Executive Producer at Splice Here, a postproduction company in Minneapolis, where he managed campaigns for Best Buy, Target, Little & Co., and Twin Cities Public Television. During his six-year tenure, he helped to manage and grow the company from three employees to 21, in addition to the launch of sister company Mrs. K.
As Director of Production at Minnesota Film Board from 1999 - 2001, Mueller was the primary liaison between production companies and the Minnesota production community. Prior to this role, he was a Producer at postproduction house HDMG for five years. Other experience includes Video Producer at Paisley Park where he worked on several Prince projects (during the "symbol" years) including "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World," "3 Chains o' Gold," "The Undertaker," and "The Sacrifice of Victor." Mueller also enjoys filmmaking on the side having created and produced several narrative shorts and features.
"Andy and I first met at HDMG in the late '90s," says Mueller, "and we stayed in touch over the years on a personal and professional level. I jumped at the chance to work with the creatives at motion504. Being in a small company like this one allows me to be intimately involved in everything and to be a part of a real family. The artists here are so insanely talented. My goal is to help motion504 become one of the premiere design and animation studios in the country. I don't see why that can't happen."
Faith Miller was most recently a Designer at HDMG where she lent her talent to film titles and corporate campaigns. Previous positions include Broadcast Designer at ShopNBC where she spent over four years working on show opens, network branding, art direction, writing and directing, voiceover, and even pants modeling, and Designer at MGB Printing.
Clients include Best Buy, Target, General Mills, DHL, Medtronic, Toro, Carlson Marketing, John Ryan, Vidal Sassoon, Nine West, and Yahoo!, as well as numerous local bands, artists and filmmakers.
"I've always admired the work of [motion504 Creative Directors] Andy Reynolds, Amy Schmitt and Scott Wenner," remarks Miller. "I knew them by reputation only so it's exciting to be able to work so closely with such creative people on a daily basis. To have that kind of creative collaboration and interaction available to you is a designer's dream."
