Free Podcasting How-To Sessions Throughout the Show, Live Tapings of “MacBreak” and More; Booth Number 4546
(San Francisco, California--January 15, 2008) While most expos are heavy on sales and marketing, the Pixel Corps and Leo Laporte have teamed up to bring their own touch of education and entertainment to the mix as they run the new Podcast Studio, booth number 4546, during the annual Macworld Conference & Expo, Jan. 14-18, 2008 in San Francisco.
Throughout the week of Macworld, the Podcast Studio is offering over 15 free instructional sessions of training on a wide range of topics including how to design, host and create podcasts; working with greenscreens; and proper recording techniques. The Podcast Studio will also offer over 10 live broadcasts of industry acclaimed podcasts such as “MacBreak,” “This Week in Technology (TWiT),” “Girls Gone Geek,” and “This Week in Media.” To view a complete schedule of Podcast Studio sessions, visit http://www.pixelcorps.com/podcaststudio
“These are very exciting times for online video,” says Alex Lindsay, Pixel Corps founder. “It’s like opening up shop at the start of radio, television or the Internet. We’re offering a magnitude of topics for both audio and video podcasting; we want people to see how easy it is to become part of the revolution.”
“The Podcast Studio is bringing a new dimension to the Macworld Expo,” explains TWiT founder, Leo Laporte. “It’s thrilling that IDG and the Macworld Expo gave us the opportunity to provide this training for free on the Expo floor. Getting everyone involved in this process is very important.”
Located at booth 4546 (in the West Hall), the Podcast Studio is open during Macworld exhibit hours on Tuesday, Jan. 15 through Thursday, Jan. 17, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST; and on Friday, Jan. 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. PST. Attendance is free to Macworld exhibit attendees. For more information on the Podcast Studio, Pixel Corps, or to view a complete schedule of sessions, visit http://www.pixelcorps.com/podcaststudio
