(San Antonio, Texas--July 23, 2008) NewTek Inc., manufacturer of industry-leading video and 3D animation products, today announced the Arena Football League selected TriCaster™ portable live production system to produce and web stream 11 ArenaBowl XXII Weekend events taking place July 24-27 in New Orleans.

TriCaster and the AFL, with internet and streaming partner JumpTV, are making it possible for fans to experience 11 events from seven locations via and including:
  • LIVE from
  • ArenaBowl XXII Weekend Daily Reports
  • ArenaBowl XXII Kids Zone Concert featuring Jordan Pruitt
  • Virgin Mobile ArenaBowl XXII Pre-Game Show on SIRIUS
  • Virgin Mobile ArenaBowl XXII Post-Game Press Conference
  • This Week in the AFL on SIRIUS
  • Daily American and National Conference Reports
  • The Wolfe’s Den presented by Miller Lite

“Streaming 11 events over the four-day ArenaBowl XXII Weekend would be impossible without the portability and ease of use found in TriCaster," said Philip Nelson, NewTek’s Senior Vice President, Strategic Development. “Two TriCasters and a crew of five are all it takes to make the fans feel like they are sitting on the sidelines of the events surrounding ArenaBowl.”

TriCaster enables sports organizations, corporate communications departments, broadcasters, schools and others to provide a new level of extended programming and content to their fans, partners and other audiences. Now, a single operator or team can produce a live show while switching between as many as six cameras with two VCR’s, multi-channel effects and NewTek’s proprietary LiveSet™ virtual sets and keying technology. With TriCaster, everyone can produce network quality live video, which can be distributed simultaneously to video, projector and web stream.

“The AFL is excited to again be working with TriCaster and JumpTV to help bring ArenaBowl XXII Weekend events closer to those Arena Football fans that are not able to experience the events in person in New Orleans,” said Mark Lowitz, President of the AFL Network. “TriCaster and JumpTV help make it possible for us to live up to our promise of providing Arena Football fans unprecedented access to all of the events leading up to and following Virgin Mobile ArenaBowl XXII.”
