(Bergen, Norway--September 5, 2008) Vizrt, a leading provider of realtime graphics and integrated video workflow solutions for the media industry, is employing a new strategy at IBC 2008 to show prospective customers how its products can create cutting-edge multimedia infrastructures that capitalize on new opportunities in broadcasting.
At its IBC booth— Stand Number (2.B31 / 2.C39), from September 12-16 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands— Vizrt will conduct eight 20-minute public sessions, each of which focus on a key topic or issue. The topics encompass HD graphics, multiple platform production, interactive graphics, media asset management (MAM), and Web distribution.
Rather than just skimming the surface of their broad range of products, Vizrt executives plan to delve into each topic area to explain how their solutions can be used to boost productivity, workflow, and revenue in today’s challenging real world broadcast scenarios.
“The winners in this market are those broadcasters who shift their resources into creative cross-platform production,” said Vizrt CEO Bjarne Berg. “Younger viewers are much more visually oriented and see little difference between digital platforms. To them news is news regardless of where they consume it. That means that a cross-media approach is the only profitable way forward for all of us in this business.”
Berg will conduct a session on Saturday, September 13th in the Vizrt booth, entitled “Priming Tomorrow’s Success with Smarter Investments Today” that will cater to both prospective customers and members of the press. All are welcome to attend.

Being competitive and successful in the Internet media age is the focus of “Escenic Workflow – Cost Effectively Monetize Your Viewers Online,” a session being presented by Tom Skolbekken, VP Marketing & Sales for Escenic, a newly acquired Vizrt company.

And yet without this streamlining, workflows become hopelessly inefficient and expensive to sustain.”
