(Reno, Nevada--February 15, 2010) SAN Solutions, Inc., a media infrastructure company that provides storage and application platforms to the media and entertainment markets, today announced that Harry Aine, the company's president and CEO, will present "Asset Management and Verification for Post" at this week's Hollywood Post Alliance (HPA) being held at Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

Scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 7:30 a.m., Aine's hour-long breakfast roundtable will address the critical role of media verification in establishing effective content asset management. The intimate setting of the HPA breakfast roundtables has made this event a very popular element of the conference. In moderating discussions at his table, Aine will explore different tiers of media verification and how, working together across centralized storage systems, they contribute to the overall efficiency and utility of media in supporting production and post-production operations.

"The value of a media asset lies in the owner's ability to access and use that content when needed," said Aine. "This breakfast roundtable will explore how content producers and post-production facilities can use media verification to ensure that all of the media required for production or delivery has been verified off the archive. It will also examine how media verification and indexing allow media companies to federate storage archives and use a central database to search media assets, in turn maximizing use of their archives."

An industry veteran, Aine has contributed to the design, development, and delivery of high-performance SANs, distributed file systems, and other advanced storage and processing solutions for the broadcast and media industries. Prior to founding SAN Solutions, he served as product manager and business development manager at MountainGate, creating the CentraVision product line that eventually became Quantum's StorNext. He earlier was vice president at Recognition Concepts Inc. (RCI), where he oversaw development of real-time video image processing systems and video disk recorders.

Over his career, Aine has chaired the Fibre Channel Loop Community (FCLC), Fibre Channel Associations (FCA), and Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA). He also was instrumental in the formation of the Storage Network Industry Association (SNIA) working group for the management of Fibre Channel technology and helped to marry that organization with the ANSI T11 Fibre Channel Standards body.
