(Las Vegas, NV--April 12, 2010) SmartJog, the global leader in managed digital delivery, announced today that it has increased its network satellite capacity over Latin America by migrating to a DVB-S2 platform. Clients will benefit from 60% increased throughput to destinations in Latin America.

The upgrade provides clients with a quicker delivery time while also continuing to provide 100% file integrity, secure transfers, and cost-effective solutions. SmartJog has seen continued growth in Latin America, with over half of their clients using satellite to receive files.

"By sending and receiving files via SmartJog, we are able to get content quickly distributed through Latin America and the increased satellite capacity will help us to further expand our telenovelas distribution, which is central to our business." says Mar A. Enriquez-Macias, Executive Vice-President for The Macias Group, which has offices throughout Latin America. "We have found that terrestrial connection speeds can be very slow in parts of Latin America and we face customs issues when shipping tapes to certain countries. SmartJog's services eliminate all these issues for us."

"Including connectivity in our service offering is critical as software Internet-only solutions cannot meet the increased speed and load demands," says Joe DiBianca, Vice President at SmartJog. "With our IP–over-Satellite option, clients benefit from the fast speeds without having to pay the high price associated with traditional linear satellite. Clients will definitely see even faster transfers when sending to sites in Latin America with the recent increase in bandwidth."

In addition to the increased bandwidth over Latin America, SmartJog's global satellite coverage provides bandwidth to clients via 6 permanent platforms. Clients also have access to an Internet backbone with leased lines, Tier 1 Pan-European Fiber Network, and peering with third party networks. SmartJog's RBC protocol provides acceleration technology over both satellite and Internet networks. Currently, SmartJog transfers a variety of media for Hollywood studios and content distributors, including television distribution, television dubbing, theatrical dubbing and post production elements.

Broadcasters will benefit from the network upgrades in the coming months as SmartJog will service licensed broadcasters during the upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ by providing secure delivery of assets between between Venues, IBC and/or home locations.
