(London, UK--May 24, 2010) Microtech Gefell will give their brand-new M1030 Studio Condenser Microphone its first public showing in the UK at the AES London exhibition, courtesy of its UK distributor Sound-Link, who are located on stand #1103. Available for delivery shortly, the M 1030 sports a new large-diaphragm capsule with a cardioid pattern.
The advanced circuit design includes optical isolation of phantom power to deliver an ultra-clean target voltage to the capsule that gives an extremely low noise floor and high dynamic range. An LED optical indicator shows when the M1030 is on and ready. Capsule shockmounting is provided by an internal elastic suspension, and there is also an optional elastic cradle suspension, the EA92.
Also on display at Sound-Link’s stand at AES are two new products from American high-end mic preamp manufacturer Grace Audio. The M501 is a modular mic preamp designed to fit in Grace Audio’s 500-series rack with a balanced, transformerless design featuring 48V phantom power, a 75Hz high-pass filter and a quarter-inch high-impedance instrument input. Also standard is Grace Design’s exclusive ribbon mic mode, which raises the mic input impedance, bypasses the input decoupling capacitors and deactivates 48V phantom power to protect delicate ribbon mics from damage.
The other product on display from Grace at AES is the company’s first channel strip, also getting its showing in the UK for the first time courtesy of Sound-Link. The front end of the new m103 19-inch 1U unit is the renowned m101 transimpedance architecture mic preamp, followed by a precision three-band EQ/high-pass filter, and an optical dynamics section. Dynamics can be switched to precede or follow the EQ section, and both may be switched independently in or out. Other features include a new 12-position gold-plated rotary gain switch, DI, 48V phantom power, and a ribbon mic mode like that on the M501, which disables phantom power when selected.
Sound-Link look forward to showing you these and other products from their distribution partners, such as Trinnov Audio and Geithain, on Stand # 1103 throughout the show.
