(Los Angeles, California--June 3, 2010) Post Haste Sound has opened the doors of its second audio post-production facility, a brand new 9,000 square foot, fully equipped studio in West Los Angeles.

The company, founded in 2003, specializes in Blu-Ray and DVD re-mastering, audio restoration, editing and digital migration for feature films and television. Post Haste Sound serves major studios including 20th Century Fox, MGM, Sony and Warner Bros., and HBO. The new facility meets studios’ growing demand for large scale digital library migration work from their analogue content as well as from antiquated digital formats including DASH and DA-88 tapes. The new facility enables Post Haste Sound to extend its commentary, ADR and voice-over services, as well as significantly expanding their capabilities for mixing first-run theatrical and TV projects.

Located at 2700 South La Cienega Boulevard, the new studio features a large theatrical dubbing stage, five Pro Tools editing suites, a spacious ADR stage, a fully-equipped Foley stage, a comfortable greenroom for client use and a secure vault. The new facility supports Post Haste Sound’s services for extensive audio restoration and 7.1 re-mastering as well as Dolby E encoding, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-MA encoding, M&E creation and augmentation, music replacement, full video services, archival and preservation services and digital migration.

“The demand for re-mastering into new formats such as 7.1 has absolutely exploded,” said Post Haste Sound co-founder Allan Falk. “With it, studios need to re-master older content to meet the aesthetics that today’s audiences expect. We’ve always had the talent and technology to deliver what our clients required, and our new facility gives us the capacity to offer these services on a larger scale, and to fully post-produce first-run projects. It also gives our clients a high-end environment in which to experience the results of our work.”

Several projects have already been completed at Post Haste Sound’s new West Los Angeles facility, including the restoration of a set of rare Bing Crosby tracks (re-mastered from original sources) for a CD titled “So Rare: Treasures from the Crosby Archive,” released this spring from Collectors’ Choice Music and Bing Crosby Enterprises. Post Haste Sound also continues to provide audio and video post services from its original facility at 3313 Ocean Park Boulevard in Santa Monica where the company focuses on video editing, dubbing, cross-conversions and more.
