(Los Angeles, California--June 7, 2011) Render Rocket LLC, the leading provider of cloud-based, self-service rendering solutions for digital content creation companies, today announced the hiring of Tracey Farrar, a highly experienced sales veteran formally of GPL Technologies and PipelineFX, as Vice President of Business Development. Farrar will be responsible for growing Render Rocket’s media and entertainment customer base, expanding services into new markets, and developing strategic partnerships that bring further value to Render Rocket’s offerings.
As a cloud-based, self-service rendering solution, Render Rocket allows companies to tap into a powerful computing network to solve critical render resource challenges without having to purchase and maintain huge render farms. Using Render Rocket’s service, with its multitude of servers and competent support staff, studios can augment their workflow to meet deadlines, address production overflow or simply handle all of their rendering needs remotely. Render Rocket’s Mission Control application offers a state-of-the-art, programmable API that enables seamless integration into any existing production pipeline and allows renders to be transferred to the cloud as production needs require. What’s more, Render Rocket supports most 3D applications, and the licenses for those applications are included on Render Rocket’s machines, which saves companies the cost of purchasing extra licenses just for rendering.
To grow Render Rocket’s media and entertainment customer base, and to help the Company expand into new markets, Render Rocket has hired Tracey Farrar, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of sales experience. Farrar comes to Render Rocket after working with GPL Technologies, where she headed up sales for the studio-focused pipeline company. Prior to GPL, Farrar managed sales for PipelineFX, a render farm management company that sold its solution, Qube, primarily to the media and entertainment industry.
“I’m really excited to join Render Rocket and work with their team to grow their customer base and evangelize their offerings,” said Farrar. “I have been following Render Rocket for several years and have watched their growth, thinking that their powerful solution was exactly what companies with rendering jobs needed. It’s really exciting now to be part that same company’s fast growth.”
“We’re extremely happy to have someone of Tracey’s caliber and experience leading our sales efforts,” said Ruben Perez, founder and CEO of Render Rocket. “Tracey knows the media and entertainment industry inside and out, she thoroughly ‘gets’ our technology, and will be an invaluable addition to our team as we bring our services to a broader market. We’re really looking forward to what we’ll be able to create together.”
