(Guildford, UK--August 2, 2011) Imagineer Systems today announced it will showcase its newest versions of mocha™ and mocha Pro™ and unveil future technology demos of mocha AE™ during SIGGRAPH 2011 in Vancouver next week.

In its booth #1015, Imagineer Systems will demonstrate the newest release of mocha Pro, the planar tracking, roto and removal tool that dramatically reduces the manual labor associated with visual effects and stereo conversion projects. The newest release greatly improves roto support for Nuke compositing workflow, an especially important workflow feature that greatly enhances 2D-3D conversion pipelines.

Imagineer Systems also announced that executives from the company will be showcasing a technology demonstration of mocha AE v3 that features exciting new 3D layer and camera export support for After Effects users.

“Stereo conversion has come a long way in the past two years, becoming an integral part of the stereoscopic production pipeline; and we’re pleased to say that mocha Pro is increasingly a key component in those pipelines,” said J-P Smith, CEO of Imagineer Systems. “Many artists and production companies are coming to SIGGRAPH to research and understand which tools and technologies will work best for them. mocha Pro has quickly become a central tool set in the pipelines at some of the biggest, best known conversion houses in the industry such as Technicolor, Digital Domain and ICO VFX, and we’re here to help attendees understand how it can work for them.”

mocha and mocha Pro have gained recent notoriety as a result of the significant impact the planar tracker has made in the production of the Oscar-winning sensation, The Black Swan, The Chronicles of Narnia; Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2.
