(Taipei, Taiwan--October 13, 2011) Netstor, a leading manufacturer of PCIe expansion products, has released TurboBox Rac NA260A, a 19” rackmount PCIe expansion enclosure with data transfer rates up to 40 Gbps providing server/workstation with 4 full-length PCIe x16 slots and 2 full-length PCIe x4 open type slots, plus large capacity power supply and high airflow fans required for operating multiple, high-performance GPU/graphics cards.
By connecting Netstor's TurboBox Rac NA260A to any server, or even to 1U and 2U servers with limited internal expansibility, the server is turned into supercomputer (high-performance server) in the most cost/money saving way. The server that has been turned into supercomputer by NA260A provides best and perfect solutions for users, administrators, and MIS staffs in the fields of High Performance Computing (e.g. scientific research), telecommunication (e.g. cloud computing…etc.), and enterprise/corporate applications (e.g. data analysis, surveillance and storage…etc.).
The optional high efficiency 1350W 2+1 redundant power supply inside NA260A provides eight 6+2 pin power connectors to meet the additional external power requirement of GPU/graphics cards, keeping workloads and mission critical applications running 24/7 without system down time. Complete environmental monitor is built with NA260A. When any of the fans fails or over-temperature occurs inside NA260A enclosure, users will be notified of the event both audibly and visually from the buzzer inside and the front LEDs, so the issue can be solved in a shortest time. In addition, NA260A provides a selection of PCIe 2.0 ×8 data cable of up to 5 meters for users/administrators to meet their demand for different configuration of mounting 19” modules on the 19” rackmount cabinet.
“Followed by desktop model of NA250A that has already been used widely for the application of video editing, digital content creation, and post-production,” said Brian Yu, Deputy General Manager of Netstor Technology. “Netstor continues to devote itself to the research and development of PCIe expansion and has released the rackmount PCIe expansion enclosure in rack mountable of NA260A for High Performance Computing, telecommunication, and enterprise/corporate applications.”
