(Las Vegas, Nevada--April 11, 2012) Timecode Systems and Softron Media Services have joined forces to add the wireless functionality of Timecode Buddy to leading video acquisition software, MovieRecorder and MovieRecorder Pro. The enhanced versions of these professional broadcast solutions will be launched with the new Timecode Buddy: system during the NAB Show 2012 in Las Vegas on 16th April 2012.
MovieRecorder is a Macintosh based multi-format, multiple input, video acquisition software that offers users a cost effective way to capture video for collaborate editing. Not only does this allow users to capture and control video from several inputs simultaneously, the edit-while-ingest functionality also means they can start editing seconds after the ingest has started.
The latest upgrade offers the additional functionality of a wireless sync to Timecode Systems’ new hardware device, the Timecode Buddy: master. This offers users the added capability of effortlessly recording accurately synced timecode to MovieRecorder and MovieRecorder Pro.
Paul Scurrell, founder of Timecode Systems Limited says:
“This collaboration is a match made in heaven. Both companies share the same goal of using the latest technology to produce products that are flexible enough to meet the demands of recording television and film today and also that make the broadcast professional’s life easier. The integration of Timecode Buddy technology into MovieRecorder allows extremely accurate timecode to be streamed to and captured by MovieRecorder, which will further support the software’s aim to speed up the edit process and take the hassle out of shoots requiring inputs from several sources.”
Pierre Chevalier, technical director of Softron Media Services says:
"Our latest MovieRecorder release includes Timecode Buddy as an additional timecode source. We are delighted that our users now will be able to reliably sync timecode using a WiFi solution in addition to Audio LTC and other timecode source. When we heard of the Timecode Buddy: system we knew immediately that we wanted to integrate it into MovieRecorder to make our customers' lives easier. We feel strongly that reliably syncing over WiFi is the easiest way for Mac users to get timecode in since there is no need to cable for Audio LTC or other complex setups. Just connect to a Wi-fi network and you're done."
