(Las Vegas: NAB 2012--April 16, 2012) The Codex Vault series is the next generation, modular, location-based media management environment. Fast transfers, automated production management, full reporting, rugged design and a compact size make the Codex Vault the hub of any on-set or near-set file based workflow. The Codex Vault supports digital cinema cameras made by ARRI, Sony, Canon and other industry leaders. It is designed to eliminate much of the complexity involved in designing workflows while taking full advantage of the efficiencies of file-based production and the ability to share rich metadata. It provides a single, standardized workflow regardless of the camera with a simple, task-based user interface that anyone can use. It has the capability to generate deliverables in all formats required for dailies review, post production and archive.
Otto Nemenz International in Hollywood will be take delivery of their first Vault systems in May. Ryan Sheridan, VP of Digital Cinema at Otto Nemenz explains, “We have been looking for a workflow solution that will not only work with our ARRI Alexa cameras, but also with our new Sony F65s. Codex has proven to be a valuable partner to us over the past couple of years as we have expanded our digital workflow business, and we have no doubt that the Codex Vault will prove to be a great addition to our inventory. “
Over the last year, Codex technology has been used in the production of around 100 feature films worldwide, as well as television programs and commercials. The Codex Vault has been designed to make file-based workflows live up to their promise for high quality, efficiency and cost-savings.
Codex will be demonstrating the Vault S at NAB, Booth C9811.
“The Vault is the solution that cinematographers, producers and DITs have been waiting for: it provides a simple, seamless workflow that can be applied to all cameras and service all deliverable needs,” said Codex Digital Managing Director Marc Dando. “Shooting digital just got easier”.
