“Simon is a highly-regarded supervisor with strong relationships throughout the visual effects industry,” said Caplan. “His creative talents and collaborative approach to working with film studios and directors is what sets him apart and makes him such a great fit within Union. There, he also supervised the visual effects for films including “Safe House”, “Immortals”, “The Losers” and “Law Abiding Citizen” amongst others. Prior to joining Image Engine, Hughes spent many years at several of the UK’s most renowned companies including Double Negative, Clear Film, CIS, Rainmaker London and Cinesite, where he got his start in visual effects in 1997. His credits include “Gladiator”, “Bond: Die Another Day”, “Kingdom of Heaven”, “28 Weeks Later” and several “Harry Potter” films.
