Multi-Talented Executive Producer Kwesi Collisson Joins MindSmack

A producer for feature films, broadcast television and commercial advertising for more than 15 years, Collisson brings with him extensive experience to his new leadership role at MindSmack.

Bio: Executive Producer Kwesi Collisson:
Kwesi Collisson’s impressive credits include collaborations with Paramount Pictures, NBC/Universal, MTV Networks, Saatchi & Saatchi, Grey and Y&R. His work in television includes promoting the launch and re-design of cable and network channels such as the Oxygen Network, Food Network, The History Channel, Court TV (TruTV) series, as well as producing thousands of promos and commercial spots. As a creative and technical producer, Collisson’s expertise combines his specialized skills and experience in production and postproduction management, and a background of hands-on skills in design, animation, visual effects and editing. Kwesi’s accomplishments have garnered him awards, as well as outstanding recognition from esteemed colleagues in television, independent features and studio arenas. These awards include Promax/BDA, The Sundance Film Festival, Tokyo International Film Festival, SXSW, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Telluride Film Festival.

Collisson’s feature film portfolio contains domestic, as well as international productions, such as the musical “Temptation” with Zoe Saldana; “Conversations With Other Women” with Helena Bonham Carter, Aaron Eckhart and Olivia Wilde; and Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac,” filmed in Japan and the U.S., starring Anton Yelchin, Emma Roberts and Kenichi Matsuyama. Collisson has worked with many Oscar-winning actors including Denzel Washington, George C. Scott, Robert Duvall and Melissa Leo. Kwesi's most recent feature projects include “Luv,” starring Common, Dennis Haysbert and Danny Glover; and “The Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best” with Wilmer Valderama, Andrew McCarthy, Melissa Leo and Ryan O'Nan. Both features are set for a Fall 2012 release. With MindSmack, Collisson is currently shooting his 10th feature film project entitled “Kilamanjaro” with Brian Geraghty and Jim Gaffigan.
