(January 25, 2013) Creative marketing agency Bemis Balkind has promoted Jeffrey Almeida to the position of VP, Account Services. The announcement was made by agency partners Peter Bemis and Aubrey Balkind.
ABOUT JEFFREY ALMEIDA:
Jeffrey Almeida originally joined Bemis Balkind in 2008 as Account Executive. In that capacity, he was charged to help run the newly re-established Home Entertainment department and to oversee Account Services for clients including Universal, Fox, Paramount, Anchor Bay and DreamWorks. Some recent package design and print campaigns Almeida has helped to spearhead include those for The 50th Anniversary release of all 22 James Bond films, Madagascar 3, Black Swan, Kung Fu Panda 2, Barbarella

Prior to joining Bemis Balkind, Almeida was a Senior Producer in the Motion Graphics department of Drissi Multimedia, overseeing the design of hundreds of DVD and HD DVD menus, including those for Ray, The Bourne Ultimatum, Scarface, Munich, American Gangster, The Notebook, Meet the Fockers, Seed of Chucky, Friday After Next, Hairspray and Brokeback Mountain, to name just a few. He was the winner of a Silver BDA North America Award for the DVD Menu Design of Dawn of the Dead for Universal.
Almeida began his career as a copywriter, working on DVD titles for New Line Cinema, including The Cell and Sugar and Spice. To this day, his first published tagline remains one of his favorites -- written for the DVD release of Adam Sandler’s Little Nicky, the phrase “Being Evil Ain’t Easy” - remains on the package to this day, 12 years later. When possible, Almeida continues to contribute copy for many of his projects.
